By the way, is it really my own face or is it my biological mother's face? I don't know, I don't recall ever meeting her, but with the exception of the "downstairs plumbing" the description of her looks seem to fit mine better than the biological father's.
Anyway, it turns out that due to business becoming really really slow, 4 people had to be laid off from the company where I work. Now, there are only 9 people in our branch of the company.
My grandmother has gotten more sick due to a few strokes since I last saw her. Being almost 90, she's more or less had her run, but I'm going to take it quite hard when "That Time" comes. I'll have you know here that the first time I remember hearing music was when I was about 3 years old and she was playing the piano; this is why I started my album with "Swans on the Lake" (or is it "Swans on A Lake"?).
The bar that's near my house has re-opened. The inside looks a bit different. The new owners put in a new stage and the old stage is another sitting area. They also painted the outside ... They also added GUINESS TO THEIR BEER LIST! WOO-HOO!!
I'm especially glad that outside of those alterations, it's still basically the same hangout for the same people who've been going there all this time, as opposed to being some god-awful theme restaurant or kind of place that is completely opposite. Granted, there was no excuse for the two months of it being called an Irish Pub when it was as much that as McDonald's can be called a Scottish/Ulsterian (Northern Irish) restaurant.
Unless, of course, McDonald's was to start serving "McHaggis".
Well, I was going to put a bunch of other things on this post but I decided I'll just put them into a big compilation. Watch for "Think Too Much Try Too Hard Etc." in Literature.
Today, I feel like having a German-themed day, so after this post, I'm going to the video store to get the movie "Das Boot", watch it in German with the subtitles, while I cook up some bratwurst sausages and Bavarian style sauerkraut in some St. Pauli Girl beer. I would rent "Run Lola Run", but for some reason, they don't have that anymore.
If I had any albums by Rammstein, Kraftwerk, Liliput (a.k.a. Kleenex), or even The Scorpions, I'd listen to those on the way there and back.
Auf Wiedersehen
P.S. The DVD of The Cure's "Trilogy" was performed in Berlin.

How are you?
